WAIglobal has begun transitioning to the Lester part numbering system for our complete line of alternators and starters. Component parts will continue to use the WAI part numbering system you have grown accustomed to.

With our extensive and continually growing line of complete alternators and starters, this conversion is anticipated to be complete in the fourth quarter of this year. Thorough interchanges (WAI number to Lester number) are available on our homepage of this website for your reference. As always, you will be able to inquire/order your complete alternators and starters under either the WAI part number or Lester number.

Regarding the part number structure, WAIglobal is using the Lester number with an “N” at the end of the number to designate “New.” For example, WAI part number 1-1995-21DR-1, a popular CS130D series alternator is transitioning to part number 8206N.
